On March 31, 2009 the Innovative forum took place in Kiev with the participation of the leaders of the State Agency of Innovations and Investments of Ukraine Sergey Margaschouc and Alexander Morozov.  The American experts informed about the experience of strategic and venture investing and commercialization of technologies.

Within the framework of forum the programs of scientific-technological enterprises (STEP Business Partnership Grant Program in Ukraine) in the field of energy saving, medicine and pharmacology, device building, agriculture and others were presented.

An attention of foreign experts, including the USA, to the newest Ukrainian technologies is explicated by a high reputation of national intellectual potential in the world market.

Organizers of forum – Fund of civil researches and development of the USA (CRDF) and Department of education and science of Ukraine. Fund of civil researches and development of the USA (CRDF) - the noncommercial organization founded in 1995 by the decision of Congress of the USA with the purpose of assistance to international scientific and technical cooperation, in particular, by support of mutual research projects of scientists of the USA and their colleagues from the countries of former USSR. Ukraine is one of the leading partners of CRDF.

The basic directions of activity of CRDF in Ukraine are following: the research grants to the researchers that work in fundamental and applied sciences; grants on the equipment; grants on support of commercialization of technologies, scientific conferences and educational seminars; assistance to integration of scientific researches and higher education.
