Japan examines a possibility of giving credit to Ukraine in an equivalent of $5 billion.  About it said Bogdan DANILISHIN, minister of economy of Ukraine.   

This theme, in particular was discussed during negotiations between the prime minister of Ukraine Julia TIMOSHENKO, head of government of Japan Taro ASO, minister of finance of Japan Kaoru YOSANO and leaders of the Japanese bank of international cooperation (JBIC).

B.DANILISHIN marked that next week Japan intends to send to Ukraine of experts for final determination of terms and directions of the use of credit.

”The conditions of giving of this credit are even more advantageous, than in MVF”, - minister said. , Ukraine in particular can count on a 25-years-old term of returning of credit with the postponement of payment during 3-5 years.

These facilities can be used on development only, in particular, modernization of communal sphere and GTS, instead of not on “eating” away. Thus Japan, he marked, pulls out no political terms. The basic condition – bank guarantees and in the last turn – guarantees of government.

These facilities can be given to one of state banks, especially to “Ukreksimbank”. Such credit will be instrumental in expansion of market of sale of Japanese goods and services.

Minister confirmed information that in the April Ukraine must get from Japan about 150 million euro – half of sum for acquisition of the Ukrainian quotas on the throwing of green house gases in an atmosphere. In March Ukraine signed an agreement with Japan about the sale of 30 million of units of the quotas on the throwing of carbon dioxide.
