Figure 4.47 shows scheme of wind system for power supply of vegetable storage facilities. Figure uses the following notation: a - vegetable storage facilities; b - wind energy system. As the main components it includes a wind turbine, thermal storage unit and vegetable storage facilities.

Thermal storage unit is an insulated container with the working coolant, which is characterized by high heat capacity. Frequently, water serves as a coolant.

Thermal storage unit includes a row of insulated containers with the coolant that is characterized by high specific heat capacity. A well-maintained heat exchange between coolants in reservoirs is provided with pipelines. Heat accumulated in the reservoirs in the presence of wind, later powers the technological processes responsible for conservation of fruits and vegetables and hot water supply.

The thermal storage unit accumulates heat, not disrupting the natural balance in a particular ecological environment under the ground, in the air or in water. The developed newest wind system for heat supply of fruits and vegetables store fully corresponds to the ecological and economic requirements.
