Wind power systems for heat supply of settlements: The general requirements to the systems

The wind power systems for heat supply, must meet the following general requirements (fig. 4.17):


·        production of thermal and electrical powers;

·        aggregation of systems for various power;

·        approaching of heat production to the sites of consumption;

·        technical interoperability with other renewable energy technologies;

·        versatility (ability to use for industrial and domestic purposes);

·        congruence with the security requirements for people and the environment.


The application of wind power technologies and systems to the direction of heat production requires changes in their building architecture. The design of individual components for wind power systems is also changing greatly; some basic elements must be created anew, "from scratch".


Wind power systems for heat supply must be created taking into account its zoning: one approach must be used at integration of wind power systems with existing buildings and structures, and other methods at heating of new buildings. But in the first and second cases the requirements of the local flora and fauna conservation and prevention of severe environmental consequences must be taking into account.
