Ukrainian-Japanese collaboration in Power Industry

On April 21, 2009 Prime minister of Ukraine Julia Timoshenko conducted the conference on the questions of Ukrainian-Japanese collaboration in industry of technologies and met with leaders of the Japanese corporations of «Soumitomo» and «Mitsubishi heavy industries», which proceed to realization of investment projects in power one, ecological and transport spheres within the framework of the memorandums signed in March.

Prime minister of Ukraine of Julia Timoshenko marked that the projects will be realized in eight directions: making and establishment of thermal pumps, that will allow considerably to reduce in price the cost of heat and hot water for the population; building of modern 600 MW power units and wind power-stations; modernizations and reconstructions of the gas-transport system of Ukraine; utilization and processing of domestic wastes and building of the cogenerative systems. Also, according to prime Minister, the Japanese companies are ready to take part in building of underground passage in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk.

«Today we are ready to discuss approaches to financing of these projects», - marked Julia Timoshenko.
